As an animal lover, you understand how much love and devotion animals give.  Dogs, especially, give you 100 percent of themselves while asking for nothing in return.

The thought of putting “man’s best friend” in situations that are too dangerous for humans is hard to bear.  It’s even worse when you consider that many of these dogs do not have adequate physical protection — making them vulnerable to the most harmful weapons human beings have invented.

Despite the huge investment of time and money spent training these K9s — to say nothing of the emotional investment of each dog’s handler — providing the protection they need is a challenge for cash-strapped law enforcement agencies and military organizations.  It’s not that they don’t care.  It’s just an economic reality.
